Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and be showing you how to install the Konig K-Summit XL Snow Tire Chains on our 2022 Ford Maverick. And these are gonna be on tire size 225/65R17 and per the Owner's Manual on the rear tires. One of the other things Ford mentions in their Owner's Manual when looking at snow tire chains is the limited wheel well clearance, both in the wheel well here around the tire, but also with some of our suspension components in the back. And in some cases, it can make tire chains incompatible because if we have too big of a link or pieces that wrap around the back of our tire, they might interfere with those suspension components or with the wheel well, causing problems with our vehicle that we don't want. Where these are unique is the fact that all of the chain sits on the tire tread and nothing sits behind the tire. more

It's important to look at your tire size, plug that information into our fit guide to find the right ones for you because if you have a different tire size this one might not work for you. The chains are designed to work with a range of tire sizes but you wanna make sure again, you pick up the right ones that have the right fit. This is a diamond pattern chain and what that means is rather than having the links go just in perpendicular lines across the tire, these form a sort of diamond shape, that gets you a little bit more coverage over the tire, resulting in a somewhat smoother ride quality, less bumpy compared to ladder pattern style but also it's gonna give us better traction on turns. more

Hey, how's it going everybody Today, we're going to be taking a look at the pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with the built-in cam tensioners and how they fit on our 2021 Ford F-150. These are gonna be on tire size 275/65R18, make sure you check the fit guide at etrailer.com to get the right fit for your tire size. Also, we have these on the rear axle as per our owner's manual, always a good idea to double check that just to make sure you're getting them on the right axle. But these are gonna be pretty aggressive on-road snow tire chains, and let's take a look as to why. The chains are going to be a ladder pattern, which means they go straight across our tire parallel to one another, so that's gonna be really helpful for starting and stopping, but because of the high profile and the design, you're gonna feel them a little bit more while you're driving. We do have these square links, which are gonna be really useful for biting into heavy snow or ice. more
